If anyone sees these new maps for sale anywhere can you please post to let me know. Going travelling on 14th May and would like to have lower detail before i go.
i have asked tomtom but they just say "soon" and have not given a release date, which is quite annoying if you are planning a holiday and wanting to use the lower detailed maps.
Many thanks |

Make sure if you buy on Ebay that they are the NEW PLUS maps which go with v5 of the software. One of the Ebay adverts definitely isn't - and the other one may not be.
[Beware of "new" as in "unused" vs "new" as in "latest spec"!]

As the new MOWE have not yet been distributed, the one's for sale are the old maps.
Some people maybe hoping that there are a few mugs out there who will buy their maps, without having to tell the buyer that it's the old ones.
If someone wants to buy my set for £100+, I'll send them post free. |

It would appear that the eBuyer Maps will not activate on the Tomtom Go. There are three of us who have purchased from eBuyer and no one can the maps activated, we are awaiting a valid reply from TT |

going abroad on friday, can't wait any longer for new maps so bought the od ones from e-buyer today, delivered tomorrow(thursday).
noticed above people struggled to get them activated.
if i struggle to get mine done, do i need to ring or mail bearing in mind i am going abroad on friday.
i have the classic go.
although the new maps are only £99, i thought spending £80 plus the extra on the upgrade is worth it so that i have the maps now b4 i go. |

OK here is what you do, as soon as you get your maps send an email to tomtom, giving them the following information;
1. The Product code (found under the 4th CD in the box).
2. Your Device code (Turn TTG on tap screen where it has the version number bottom right) Device code will be at the top.
3. Save a copy of your eBuyer invoice from the screen & attach that to the email.
4. Bug the hell out of TTG Customer services UK number is 02075637300.
Hopefully you will get your new product No, once you have that. Go to www.ttcode.com enter the product code it will then ask you for your device code, enter that. Next page you will be supplied with an activation code :D |

Well it has arrived and as predicted the product code is not accepted. I have emailed them the information and i'll be on the phone at 8am in the morning to get this new code.
stress stress, and to top it all off, when i opened the case and tried to remove the first disk, my big fat clumsy hands cracked one of the CDs. arrrgggg... luckily, i am not going to those places.
plug and go....my arse! |
