|
|
Hi,
I recently bought a TT Go 300 and am very happy with it, however, im having trouble accessing the travel, weather and other plus features, i successfully paired it with my phone (a SonyEricsson P800) but it always just says unable to establish wireless internet connection. Any idea's?
Thanks

could be something to do with the settings on your phone like Access point and GPRS settings.
have you accessed the internet with your phone before i think you have to have it set on GPRS and not WAP.
has anybody else logged on to these services? i wanna know if there are any extra voices and things worth downloading, i dont wanna start my months free trail now and find out the services ain't up and running 100% _________________ Who is General Failure and why is he reading my Hard Drive????

yeah the internet works fine and its set to gprs only, seems to fall down when it gets to the point of selecting which network it is (vodafone p&g), bit frustrating really wanted to test out the traffic service as im going away next weekend. I also tried the manual set up but didnt really know all the information, had access points etc just no idea when it says dial - (and as default it set to something like *91) and log on script.
All contributions gratefully received.

As RB said it might be your GPRS connection settings. You might also have an account which allows you "WAP over GPRS" access, but not the full GPRS access where you can use your phone as a modem for a laptop or a PDA to access the Internet.
If your GO300 starts going through the screens where it asks you to select the model of your phone, the country you are in and your provider, then something is wrong with your phone connections settings.
The best way to deal with it is to call Vodafon customer services and ask them if you have full (not WAP) Internet access over GPRS. It would be easier if you told them that you are trying to use your PDA to access the Internet, they should walk you through the set up process. |
