Hi, i've been reading up alot on this website, on and off since you were featured on fifth gear. I'm pretty much decided on what i want, a PDA based solution for sat nav and speed camera locations. I'm pretty much set on this offering from Dell http://tinyurl.com/cdt7j But have a few questions...
1 With the upcoming release of Tom tom navigator 5 supporting POI would i be best to use this built in functions or would it be possible to use a third party solution still?, as i gather at least initially there won't be much customisation possible.
2 Any definate date when version 5 will be released?, as i guess i should wait given the possibility of being charged for upgrades
3 Are there any owners of the Dell Axim X30 that could comment of the loudness of the speakers? I drive a classic mini and it isn't the quietist car to drive, i would like to still be able to hear the directions and warnings
Thats about it i think, thanks for all the help this site has provided so far, defiantely a great resource :D |

1) TTN5 supports most of the POI features - custom POI, proximity alert, even custom warnings (well, we helped a little). Third party tools don't work directly with TTN5 but can still be used for POI management .
