anyone who has a mio 168 , i believe the screen size area is same as tom tom go, therefore if you only use your finger on tt go touchscreen ,then is it possible to use finger instead of stylus on mio 168 . the answer to this will determine which one i buy. many thanks . |

You can use your finger on any touch-screen.
The limitation is how the software is displayed on it and how big the icons are in order for you to be able to accurately 'touch' it.
If TTN5 displays on a PDA in the same way it does on the GO then theoretically you should not have a problem. _________________ Ian.

I've got a Mio 168 running TTN3, and have no problems with finger selection of anything with an icon link. If you want to type in addresses you will need a stylus. _________________ Dabhand16

Not according to TomTom, many retailers may have said this but not TomTom themselves. |

I think that for anybody buying a system with TomTom 3 on it at this time from a retailer that says this on their web site they need to get that in writing from the company concerned before finding out later when version 5 becomes available that its not the case.
I may be wrong but I would check first, we will not know until its released, or TomTom tell us differently. |

This is the email I got back from Tomtom.....................
There will be no free upgrades this year to Navigator version 5. Navigator version 5 for the Pocket PC should hopefully be coming out some time next month.
