Loss of TT from bang or power loss

When my battery is removed, or as has frequently happened after a small "tap" or "bang" to my pocket pc i lose TomTom completely and have to reinstall. Is it possible to prevent this, or have a mobile back up on a storage card for example. Can TomTom itself be loaded onto, and operated from a storage card or just the maps. Thanks in advance for any help.

I’d recommend that you use Sprite Backup Premium Edition, which will backup the whole of your PPC to your storage card.

I also beleive there is a registry hack which will allow you to operate TomTom from memory card.

Plus.. pocketgps has the cab (executable install files) available for tomtom. So you could put them onto your memory card and if TomTom gets wiped you just run those files to reinstall it.. You will need to keep a note of your product code to activate the software of course.
