|
|
HI,
I just installed GPSinformation program into my Dell Axim X30 PDA. I decided to remove the program. I tried to uninstall the program using uninstall from the PDA or PC but still would not allow me to uninstall. Keeps saying the program is in use even if I exit it. How can I uninstall it? Is there something I am missing? Any help to resolve this would be appreciated. Thanks. ![Sad](modules/Forums/images/smiles/icon_sad.gif) |

It possibly depends on how you are 'exiting' the programme. Tapping the 'X' in the top righthand corner doesn't exit a prog., it minimises it. Try doing a soft reset and then have a go at removing it. _________________ Tim |

I tried that as well. It still won't let me uninstall. Seems like it's a bug in the program. Are there any other oprtions? The porgram is from Globalsat Technology.
Thank You. |

Did you try to uninstall via Active Sync?
After a reset you could try going to 'Tools > Add/Remove Programs...' and see if it will uninstall that way. _________________ Ian.

I got some really weird result from removing with Active Sync. The Active Sync removal was sucessful on the PC side but on the PDA side it still gave the same message. It sadi that the program ws busy and cannot be uninstaled unless it was stopped. I checked the running programs and none were running. Now I am confused. On the PC side it's gone. On the PDA side it's still there. Dunno what to do now. ![Sad](modules/Forums/images/smiles/icon_sad.gif) |
