Crying or Very sad Help!

I have just purchased a Dell Axim X30 and Tom Tom Navigator (from Dell's web site) I can not install Tom Tom onto my PDA, I have set the Dell Axim up and have been able to Syn'c all my email etc. but when I come to install the Tom Tom software it just hangs? My P.C is running WinXP S.P2 and the Dell Axim has Windows Mobile 2003 second edition.

I am installing CD0 when on start-up says "install Tom Tom onto Dell X3 series"

Any ideas why the CD will not install Tom Tom onto my PDA? Thanks.

I have a Dell Axim X30 - with 512MB SD card, running Windows Mobile 2003 second edition. I ordered this as a "complete Sat Nav" kit from www.dell.co.uk. The "kit" came with TomTom Navigator 3 - Western Europe Maps (10 CD's in total).

I am in the U.K - my Dell Axim has been set-up and Sync'd with my P.C - running WinXP S.P2. When I insert TomTom CD0 and the set-up begins I get the option to "Install TomTom Navigator Dell X3 Series" which is what I choose - it says it will install...
TomTom Navigator in English
English voice prompts
TomTom Wizard
TomTom GPS

The top of the screen says TomTom Navigator 3.04 Set Up.

The program then starts to "install". It then asks me to check my device incase any additional steps are needed - my PDA then displays a message " The program you have installed may not display properly because it was designed for a previous version of Windows Mobile Software"

If I then look under programs on my PDA I a 3 lots of TomTom Navigator installed and 1 TomTom Wizard.

Hope this helps - thanks for the quick reply.

Uh, that doesn't sound healthy. Best would be if you could remove all these installations from the Pocket PC and then install TomTom Navigator 3.07 (you can download that from the TomTom support site).

Please do a soft reset before you attempt the reinstall.

The WM2003SE message needs to be tapped away ("OK") - you can safely ignore that.

After you have done that you need the CDs only for the maps and the voices, not for the program.

I had a similar problem and it was because I was installing the maps to my SD card and I had the switch on the card set to write-protect.

A long shot but worth checking......

you need to install version 3.07 for as support for wm2003se was added then the cab file are available from the tt navigator forum copy then to the sd card and excute them from there by going to the sd card using file explorer and tapping on the cab file
