|

I'm finding that the Time at Destination readout has gone completely crazy since upgrading to 2.5; 3.0 hasn't fixed it either. The time quoted seems to have no bearing on the actual time. For example I was about 60 miles from my destination at 5PM, however the Time at Destination readout was say I would arrive at 4AM!
It was working fine on 1.3. Anyone have the same problem?

I'm on v1.3.2 but I had a one-off experience where the time of arrival fluctuated widely, as though it had jitter on it, even at times saying that I'd arrived a few minutes ago, when I was still on my way. I've only noticed this happen once. |

Baggieboy, just wondering, are you sure you were in "car" mode and not "pedestrian" this or incorrect speed settings for the road types might explain the problem. As you got closer to your destination did the time get closer to being accurate or was it still wildly out. Finally is the time on your pda set correctly? |

It's always been in "car" mode, never changed it. The PDA time is indeed correct. If I go to "time remaining" the value is OK (within reason). I never had a problem with 1.3 but after the 2.5 upgrade it has never worked right. |

Did a bit of digging. It was about 18:30 when I left work, I set it up for the journey home (around an hour). The "Time at Destination" came up at around 4AM. The "Time Remaining" was correct-ish. I then changed the left panel to show the current time and it was around 3AM. I shut down ViaMichelin and went to "Prefs", date and time was correct. I then started ViaMichelin and now the time was correct. |

I think I have this nailed. I only get the problem if I switch off the PDA without exiting MapSonic. It seems that after switching back on MapSonic doesn't reset it's clock to the current time. If I exit MapSonic before turning off, and then start MapSonic after turning back on all is OK. Something has changed in 2.5 because this wasn't necessary with 1.3. |
