Copilot set up for desktop pc

Hi folks

Just bought an Eavsham (used) Mitac 168 with Copilot 5. My question is how to set the Desktop PC up as in the intructions it says that we need to set both up at once!!!!!

Never had Pocket pc or GPS reciever before so don't want to mess the GPS already installed on the Pockt PC.

Also how do I get the additional eurpoean cd to work so I can get the maps off - you can tell I am a REAL beginner!!!!
