Streets and trips w/voice for dell only

Hello,

I have Microsoft Streets and Trips 2005 and have been disappointed that there is not voice navigation function with it. Have had it for a couple of months.

Just did a search on Google and it appear that there is another version of the software available that has voice on it for the dell pc only.

I have a dell laptop and was wondering if anyone has tried this version as I dont want to go and rebuy the software if it is just a marketing thing that doesnt really work.

If there a patch available for people who have already bought the software ?

Any help would be appreciated.

Streets and Trips is just a cut-down version of Autoroute which is a cutdown version of Mappoint. They are all based on the same object model so you can program against it. Someone has written a VB script that is mimicking voice navigation.

This will work on all PCs, but to be honest it's not worth the hassle. There are far better dedicated navigation programs out there for the PC, with native voice navigation.
