Tom Tom maps for purchase via download?

I am going to Germany on Saturday and I just realized how incredibly useful it would be to take my GPS with me.

Now that it is the last possible minute, is there anyway to buy maps for TomTom via download?

Failing that are there in retailers in Frankfurt that actually carry map add ons?

They're not available for download, perhaps you could buy from a UK retailer and arrange for delivery to your destination in Frankfurt? Alternatively there will almost certainly be a retailer in Germany (they are the biggest GPS users on the contintent by a mile).

Having said all that, with the v5 upgrade due soon which will provide Euro maps anyway, do you want to expend on maps now? Mapopolis have a 9 day-trial version of their software and German maps are available. Visit www.mapopolis.com where you can download all the software on-line. Might be enough to get you through your trip?
