Check the first couple of lines of the POI file in NOTEPAD, do you have double quotes?
They should look something like:
-2.11334, 53.123452, "GATSO:1231", ""
If you do have too many quotes ie, ""GATSO"","""" that is your problem.
In this case I would suggest downloading the camera POI file again and open it in NOTEPAD to add a semicolon ; at the begining of the first line then save it again. _________________ Ian.

Many thanks for the prompt reply its really appreciated,I have now carried out you suggestion and things have developed.
I now get the following error from the Poi editor "Names & Places exceed 16mb limit"
I have formatted A: and reloaded the application in case any of the old version 2 data was not cleared when version 3 was loaded but no improvement, even tried a smaller file but its not having any of it
Regards

Problem solved it appears that either my Windows XP or my Excel version was causing the problem no quotes around the descripition when edited in Notepad, manually put them in it now loads, still a mystery why the Poi editor was reading a 2kb file and showing it to be 10mb for loading
Thanks for the help |
