Bought an ICN 510 recently and seems OK but the route settings are a real hit and miss I'm finding. Does anyone out there have any idea what the best settings are for shortest v quickest, motorway and urban as the damn thing keeps taking me through back streets and A roads rather than going via motorways eg. wanted to go from jn 15 M40 to jn 9 but took me around A roads etc. VERY FRUSTRATING ........

It really is a matter of tweaking the sliders until you get the desired results.
try moving the motrorways slider over towards 'Use Most' and move the slider for urban roads more towards 'Use Least'

I use the PDA version and have the sliders set for 80% quickest route and 80% use motorways and it seems to work quite well.

Move the slider towards quickest otherwise it will go the strangest way to get you the shortest distance. Other than that it's a bit of hit and miss as I have found.

I've just got one, and the routes are a bit bizarre sometimes. I found that adding a few intermediate destinations on the roads that I wanted to take made it route where I wanted ! Don't put these near road junctions, or the next turn instruction gets lost in the "Intermediate destination reached" announcement.

Control over routing doesn't seem to be its strongest feature. I usually know how I want to get there - I just want it to navigate for me.
