Is it possible to correct errors in the maps supplied with Tom Tom navigator 3 with any sort of editing software Question

I have found many incorrect road layout errors in my area, East Anglia, UK, but there doesn't seem to be any updated maps available for download from Tom Tom as yet.

I have only been using the software for a few months and am quite disappointed at finding so many errors on roads which were changed many years ago.

Does anyone know how frequently the maps are updated Question

Due to licensing restrictions it is not possible to edit maps.

In TTN3 you can use the 'permanent avoids' feature to take care of some of the issues.

New map compilations are released every year, and will include the updates the have been surveyed in that time - which means your decade old issues may or may not be fixed...

Thank's for that.:D

I shall wait eagerly for the updates to be posted on the Tom Tom web site in the hope that most of the errors are corrected and the new roads are added. :D

Or my TT3 will still think that I'm driving accross a 500 foot roundabout 50 feet in the air Laughing

You'll have a long wait then, the updates will not be available for download, they are released as part of the upgrade program and are chargable. Expect to pay approximately Euro 49 for the forthcoming map upgrade.
