NEWBIE Question

I am about to buy a 510 and I am wondering if I can install and run the TomTom Europe map software? I have detailed maps of most European countries and plan to travel a bit over the next year.

Can you tell me what other popular map software I can put on the unit? I am a novice when it comes to this unit.

in a word no you cant as the icn and other pna's like tomtomts go are closed systems if you want flexibility then you need the go down the pocketpc route

What map's can I buy to add to the functionality of the unit. I believe the unit comes with UK maps. I would like a Menorca map and a French map.

you would need to get european maps from navman as the map the activation code lock the map to the unit
