WAAS-enabling the BC-307???

Has anybody ever permanently turned on WAAS on their BC-307? I've run the GPSInfo program that came with it and it has a checkbox for enabling it (it's blank when I start the program), but whenever I quit the program and start it again, the checkbox is blank. That makes me believe that it doesn't save the WAAS-enabled state.

I've tried the Winfast Navigator tweak program and that doesn't seem to have an option for enabling WAAS/EGNOS, and the GPStweak program will recognize the GPS in NMEA mode and show me NMEA sentences but most of the menu selections are greyed out so I can't get into them to see what they do.

I'm going to be using it for more than road navigation, so a good accurate WAAS position is important.
