Hi, I'm curious to know whether the unit can be activated by the 12V car power adapter upon startup. Call me lazy, but I'd just as soon have it power up/down automatically in the car.

Also, not too clear as to whether all the functions of WM2003 are available as well. I realize the software runs on that platform, but does that mean you can "minimize" the GPS functions to the background and use PIE, etc. on the unit?

TIA!

The iCNs uses Windows CE .NET, but they don't have Pocket PC, just the base OS.

I don't know if any way has been found to access the CE .NET shell on the ICN 510. If you want a Pocket PC and Smart ST 3, why not buy a PiN instead?

Well, I'm not really looking for any PDA functions per se, but would only be a bonus. I intend to keep the unit in the car at all times, and I want it to power up with the vehicle. Is that possible at this time with this unit?

I'm just looking for a fairly robust dedicated setup for the car that is large enough to be readible but not too big to solicit looks from passers by.

Well! You said it - I don't intend to be rude but it's only one button to power up. :o But it does have a power down function so you're half way there. But then you do have to enter your trip details.

I`m also looking for a unit that will start up / shut down and input my directions for me, oh and to also remove itself from the windscreen mount and slide into my pocket, anyone any ideas ? Rolling Eyes
