Hi, I'm curious to know whether the unit can be activated by the 12V car power adapter upon startup. Call me lazy, but I'd just as soon have it power up/down automatically in the car.
Also, not too clear as to whether all the functions of WM2003 are available as well. I realize the software runs on that platform, but does that mean you can "minimize" the GPS functions to the background and use PIE, etc. on the unit?
TIA! |

The iCNs uses Windows CE .NET, but they don't have Pocket PC, just the base OS.
I don't know if any way has been found to access the CE .NET shell on the ICN 510. If you want a Pocket PC and Smart ST 3, why not buy a PiN instead?

Well, I'm not really looking for any PDA functions per se, but would only be a bonus. I intend to keep the unit in the car at all times, and I want it to power up with the vehicle. Is that possible at this time with this unit?
I'm just looking for a fairly robust dedicated setup for the car that is large enough to be readible but not too big to solicit looks from passers by. |

Well! You said it - I don't intend to be rude but it's only one button to power up. :o But it does have a power down function so you're half way there. But then you do have to enter your trip details. _________________ Gee-Pee
