Could someone help a newbe with the answer to this one?
I have tried to run Checkpoint and POIwarner and the answer is the same "Windows CE sevices not found on this computer"
Running windows Xp, TomTom3, Palm T3.
I have the latest upgrade from TomTom and put the database in the GB directory and enabled POI visual and beeps etc... Now I am stuck.
Thanks in advance,

Uh well both those apps are PocketPC only, they won't run on a Palm OS device.
There is no TomTom v3 for Palm either, it is TomTom Palm Edition. With the latest update from TomTom that version has a built-in POI warning facility. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Guess that I have an inferior version of the navigation system on my Palm T3, should have got a HP pocket whatever.
And bought it because I thought Palm was the way to go.
Thinking now it is like buying an Amiga when you should have bought a PC.
I will have to stick with TomToms bells and whistles then, boring.
You live and learn.
Thanks for your quick reply,
Seven. |

Not at all if you followed our site you'd see we had produced a replacement for the Moo's and Boing's, so now you (and all the other users of the latest versions) can have voice announcments.
Your Palm version uses the common navigation engine platform, the PPC clients will be going this route shortly, HP's custom version, GO and Mobile are there already so don't be disheartened, you have the latest!

Darren,
Just followed the instructions in the above sticky as you suggested and Wow! It all works with the spoken alerts.
It took me a little while to catch on.
Thanks for your help,
seven
