should I upgrade to Tom Tom 3??

Hi,
I have TT2 working perfectly on an XDAII with Checkpoint 3.2 & POI sync.
My dilemma is should I bite the bullet & upgrade to TT3. I'm not too fussed about the extra features in TT3 as I quite like (& can live) with the ones in TT2. What I need to decide is if it is worth upgrading just to get newer maps??

Any help or experience would be greatly appreciated.

If I where you I wouldn't upgrade just yet, as TTN 5 (or whatever number they are thinking of) should be released hopefully in a couple of months. It may be worth looking at that as your next upgrade.

The upgrade deal for Navigator 2 to Navigator 3 has been and gone.

It remains to be seen whether TomTom will allow Navigator 2 users to upgrade to a future version of Navigator at a reduced price or not. Historically, they've only allowed upgrades from the immediately previous version; Navigator 1 users wanting Navigator 3 had to purchase Navigator 3 "software only" as a retail product.


Until TomTom announce a future Pocket PC version of Navigator for European users, we won't know their plans.
