Leadtek 9532 - Battery replacement?

Has anyone any experience of replacing the battery in a Leadtek 9532?

I've had my trusty 9532 for a few years now and its still great - in fact although I have a TomTom BT receiver, I still use the wired 9532 in my car.

Problem though is that whenever I stop, it takes as long to regain its fix as if it was doing a cold start.

I can only think that the backup battery isn't keeping its charge and the device is losing its hot/warm start info.

Given the horror stories elsewhere of people changing batteries and receivers never working again, I'm a bit nervous to fiddle, unless others of you out there have done the same thing OK.

Any advice regarding what sort of battery is inside the device and how easy it is to change it?

As far as we know it is cheaper to buy a new receiver...
