I found an interesting 'feature' this morning on the way to work. Last night I was messing about and set up a route to Nottingham. This morning I set off for work and used the 'Turn Guidance Off' option so that it didn't try to take me anywhere. To my surprise the voice directions were still speaking, trying to take me to Nottingham (I work in Peterborough!!). However, no route was shown on the 3D naviagtion screen??!!

Then I tried clearing the route from memory but it carried on directing me to Nottingham...! It took a hard reset to stop it.

Anyone else had this?

you probably wanted to say "soft reset". I think you could just have created and canceled a new route.

Yes, sorry I did indeed mean a soft reset. I was just a bit surprised when I started driving and the bl**dy thing started speaking to me! Especially as the next safe place to stop was miles away!! Will have to remember to cancel any routes before I start off next time.

Or you could just turn the sound off?

Did you have 2 instances of tomtom running at the same time? - if so the top copy probably had the guidance turned off but the one running in the backgound still had the route in it - hence the instructions.

I'm not sure why this sometimes happens - can't reproduce it now but it is certainly possible!
