New user questions!

Hi,
As from this morning I'm a new user of TomTom Navigator 3.07 on a Mio 168, so far so good! However, I am a little disapointed with the maps, it doesn't contain my home street (5+ years old!). This wouldn't bother me if it wasn't for the fact that my mate at work has TomTom Mobile and the street is on that! Why the hell they can't both have the same maps is beyond me.

Anyway, enough moaning. I have a question, is there anyway of navigating to a 'city centre'? According to the manual there is but I cannot find it. In other words, if you want to go to a city centre of an unfamilar city but you do not know any streetnames or postcodes, how do you find it? I know there are some POI's set up for shopping centres, but there aren't many of them. Any ideas?

I believe you enter the city/town name and the same for the road. It then displays the Town hall or similar place.

Just put the city name, and don't bother entering the street, name - just leave it blank and OK it.
