POI location error

Hi,
I downloaded the points of interest database, and have displayed , amongst others, the Sailing Clubs.
I note that my own club the Royal Harwich Y.C. is incorrectly sited. The location shown is in fact Woolverstone Marina and NOT the Yacht Club.
How can this be corrected?

Hi LeighB,

You can change the name that is displayed on the POI location by changing the text in the .ov2 file.

To do this you will need to download something like Win .OV2 onto your PC and select the 'dump .ov2' option. This will extract all of the data in the .ov2 file into a text (.asc) file which you can then edit.

Once you have changed the name of the location to whatever you want it to be, you can then reverse the process and select the 'make .ov2' option in Win .OV2 and you will then have your corrected POI file.

I was thinking more of how the database could be corrected rather than just on my own PDA, altho' that will be useful.

Hi Bo Peep,

Thanks again, I will get a precise fix at the entrance to our car park, and send it in. I am away for a week so will do it when I get back.
Our other local club is also wrongly sited, but the road that leads to it is not shown at all!! It is shown to be at the end of the nearest road that Tom Tom displays, so maybe that is good enough?
