|
|
Hi,
I've just bought a TomTom Go and think it's fantastic.
I'm renaming some POIs, but I'm getting a mixture of uppercase and lowercase names. For example:
Argos.ov2 shows up as 'Argos'. Just as expected. As does 'PCWorld'
B&Q.ov2 shows up as 'b&q'. Why not B&Q ?
ASDA.ov2 is 'asda'. Why not ASDA ?
I know it's just a minor thing, but it would be nice to get all the POIs capitalised correctly.
Any ideas?
Thanks |

Do you mean that when you tap the icon of the POI on the map, the displayed info is varied?
If so, this is how it has been typed in the text file before being converted to an .OV2 file. _________________ Richard

It's the POI catagories that are not as expected.
I thought the catagory would be the same as the ov2 filename.
So if I renamed the files to "B&Q.ov2" and "B&Q.bmp" the catagory would be "B&Q" |

The simple answer is I don't know.
I've tried using B_&_Q and it comes out lowercase.
However my Post Code files are written as P_Code_A-B and they display, on my TTG, as P Code A-B. The underline produces a space in the displayed name.
It could be something to to with the '&' and the way TTG handles names!! _________________ Richard
