Can anyone confirm to me that if I add a compact flash wireless card to my Ipaq it has the appropriate OS and software for connection to wireless network "HotSpots"?
I unerstand that I need Windows Mobile 2003 - what I can't understand however is, do I already have this software or not? If not can I download it from Microsoft?
I know I should really already know this, but I don't!
help would be appreciated
Thanks

Yes, you have the software, and you should be able to connect fine with a CF wireless card. |

I appreciate your prompt reply - but am still a little confused as when I look in the sytems folder and then "about" the Ipaq tells me that the OS is Windows CE V4 NOT Windows Mobile 2003. Nor for that matter can I see the software which would be used to link up to a wireless hotspot when I have the card. I presume this software does not magically appear when I insert the card, hence my confusion.
Sorry to repeat the question - I really don't mean to be impertinent - but do I need to perform some sort of upgrade to the OS? Or will my present software be suitable?
Cheers

The 2210 is Windows Mobile 2003, WinCE v4 is a different title for this. There is no 'software' for connecting to WiFi Services, all you need is the WiFi card which will come with its own drivers and you're all set. _________________ Darren Griffin |
