Hi everyone
some help needed
I have recently bought the hp ipaq navigator, very impressed with it so far.
However I wish to add poi namely camera sites. I downloaded and installed checkpoint.
I have registered and been issued with security code. Problem is I cannot get this to register.
So
how do I set my pda up on the internet, I am using broadband on a network router do I need a seperate modem?, or can I access the internet via my
pc system. If so any help as to how I do this would be apprecaited.

Hello digitaldan
Not sure if this will work with your setup, but connect your ipaq to your main pc via ActiveSync, then on ActiveSync - Tools - Options - Rules, make sure that Pass Through has The Internet in the box, Click OK
Now go on line if not already and you should be able to connect your ipaq to the internet. |

Thanks for the reply,
will give it a whirl tomorrow.
Reading the many posts it seems that the hp navigator kit does not allow too much in the line of 3rd party apps. Is this true.
However after a bit off faffing around I finally got the camera database loaded and working, the only thing missing is the redlight cameras. Will have a go at this tomorrow.
Can checkpoint be actually used on the ipaq rz1700?
Also how do you cure the frequent memory issues, is it better to copy the files of the oem card and transfer to a larger card?
Cheers
