Alternate Routes

Hi,
I am very new to TTN3, and this is probably a very dumb question, but how can you get TTN3 to plan a route the way YOU want to go, not the way it thinks may be best?
Example. Ipswich to Lancaster.
Various alternatives, but the TTN3 route involves A14 then M6 all the way. The M6 can be dire as we all know and we usually go further north before crossing either via A50 or M62.
Is there any way to get TTN3 to plan such a route?

if your going to lancaster the the shortest way is a14 a17 m1 m62 a650 a629 a65 then turn left to the a 6xxx cant remember the road number but it brings you out at the main lancaster turn. hows that for one off memory tt3 will stick to main roads if you change the road speeds in the advanced properties the routing will change if you select alternative route in the menu screen and use it a couple of times then it should come up with a route thats more to your likeing

Hi alix,
Thanks, that is one of the ways we have used, I wanted to find out how to persuade TTN3 to provide alternates to its 1st offering.
I will investigate the speed change and the alternate route methods.
