Hi,
New to all this so i hope you can help.
I have an Ipaq rx3715. Cracking product. Am using TomTom3 and have a Leadtek LR9537 bluetooth GPS receiver.
Now, I can pair the PDA and GPS so as they recognize each other and teh blue light in the GPS is steady. But i cannot get the GPS to work. Have gone into TomTom GPS and selected Com8 and NMEA 4800 but still no joy. Have used Winfast Navigator, but again no signal.
So have searched the boards and after seeing advice have upgraded to TomTom 3.07.
Now it won't start, telling me i have no maps installed, when i clearly have.
Any help would be gratefully received as i have not yet got the dratted thing to work.

the standard speed for BT is 38400 (4800 should wok, too)
If you have a TT GPS driver 3.03 or similiar then it may not be COM 8. Try the other COM ports, starting from 5.
Or,better yet, remove that GPS driver and install Version 2.07 - that one gives less hassle when you want to run other programs with the BT receiver. _________________ Lutz

Well i finally have got her to work.
On an RX3715 the port is 6 not 8.
Loaded all of Tomtom into default directory, except maps which i put onto SD card. Removed SD card and removed old GPS. I have then upgraded GPS to 3.07 and soft reset. Then put my SD card back in. Changed GPS settings to NMES 38400 on Com port 6 and all is well.
Many thanks for the helpful advice given and also on the forum.
One more quicky though, would you also advise upgrading the programme to T3.07 or leave as is?

No problem installing TTN3.07
But - we are not recommending TT GPS 3.07 - we recommend version 2.07 .
Nothing to worry about right now but keep it in mind when you want to use other programs with your BT GPS. _________________ Lutz
