Need help converting autoroute to TTG

Hi, I'm new to GPS (and forums) so please be gentle.
I've just got my shiney new tomtom go, and I want to load into it all of my customers as POIs. These are currently saved as an autoroute 2001 map .axe file.
I have downloaded the latest POIConvert software and tried to convert the file, but it comes up with the message "The ST2GPX utility failed to produce the file - st2gpx.tmp"
I have loaded the safety camera poi database to the TTG so I know I've done that bit OK!
Has anyone got an idea of what I'm doing wrong.

Did you install POIConverter to its default directory? I had the same problem when I installed to a directory of my own making; reinstalling to the default one cured it.
