Thanks to the superb advice and guidance from fellow "forum"ers I am now the proud owner of what appears to be a fully working satnav and traffic system. The route has not been without it's problems but eventually we got there.
I have a HP Ipaq 4700 running TomTom Navigator 3 and Tom Tom traffic with an Emtac bluetooth GPS receiver. The first use of the system in anger this Monday morning was the usual journey to work along the M6 and M62 - a good test for live traffic information! All seemd to work as expected.
Now, remind me again. Which button is it that I press to make all the traffic disappear?
Thanks again everyone for all your help.
