HELP!!!!!!!!!!!! Adapters

Hi

Can anyone tell me if its possible to link to a com port on my pocket pc via active sync or some other software??#

i have a dell axim with a GPS Compact Flash card installed and i wish to retrieve the date from the gps to my desktop pc.

i have seen PCI/COMPACT FLASH adapters for the PC - is this the only way to get the CF GPS data into a destop machine. The GPS CF also has an adapter for PCMCIA but as i don't have a laptop this is useless.

any help apprectiated.

Do you want the data real time (not much use with a desktop) or do you just want to copy the log file over? For that all you need is to record the GPS data with your Navigation program. Many programs have integrated logging.

unfortunatley i need real time data, have no trouble with the data logging.

Have a look at GPSGate, and then push the data through TCP/IP via ActiveSync

(I still don't believe a desktop should ever be used for GPS)
