adding .bmp images

I have downloaded some poi from poiplace but they are without images..i have downloaded the images separatelt by right clicking and saving them as the same name. doesnt seem to work though when I add them to the map. How should i be doing this?

you're following the right procedure. Have you verified that the images are 256 color ?
