When I choose 'map detail preferance' option in my TTgo ,I dont get the slider options for roads and streets and names.It just lists. POI , Favorites and names with tick boxes..
I think this has happened since I installed speed cam database as I feel the slider option was present before but I may be wrong.
Any help would be most welcome and appreciated.

I think the slider has disappeared with the 4.40 and 4.42 software updates, which you would have needed to install in order to gain the ability to customise POIs. Version 4.21 of the TTG software does not allow customised POIs and (I think) used a slider instead of tick boxes for map detail preference. It's not a bug, anyway! |

When im in a street in 3d mode it does not show me the streets surrounding me, so I want the option to show me more of the streets around me, but if its not there how do I get it to show me more of the roads? |

You can get a short duration temporary change by pressing the + or - buttons in the top corners of the display. |

Does it show any of them?
It's controlled by menu/preferences/set name display (last page in preferences!), then select Show Street Names on Map.
It's a nice feature, especially at night. |

Please could you tell me what it means by street level mapping? Can I load more of the streets and roads onto the sd card if I use the cd? |

Assuming that you're using maps for an individual country (like GB or France) these go right down to street level, and nothing more detailed is available on the CD. But you can control what is displayed on TTG. When browsing the maps, you get streets on the higher zoom settings but not at low zoom. When driving, what is displayed depends on how you have configured the "Set name display" menu. [You get to this on Page 5 of the Change Preferences menu.] It has tick boxes for:
* Show house numbers prefixed [7 High St rather than High St 7]
* De-emphasise E-Roads (irrelevant in UK)
* Show street names on map, and
* Show next highway
Of course, if you're using the Major Roads of Europe (MRE) maps, these don't go down to street level - otherwise they'd be massive! |
