I'm running TT mobile on my SPV_C500. The problem I get is that the software does not retain my favourites or my home position. The only favourite it retains is Millbrook? which I have deleted several times. Can anyone explain this please?

The mini SD card doesn't appear to have a read only lock on it. I have copied music onto the card without issue so I don't think it's that. Any other ideas?

Hi wakaday,

I don’t have TT Mobile so this is only a suggestion

If you lose your favourites (which can also happen on TT Navigator for the PPC) then your course of action might be to create a POI file called “Friends and Family” or even “Favourites” which you could store on your storage card.

Do you ever switch off your mobile? If you do, do you fully shut down TT Mobile before you switch off the phone?

Regards,

Where should the favourites be stored? I can't find a folder on my SD card.

I have only 3 cfg files on my phone all on the SD card associated with tomtom:

navigator.cfg
game.cfg
great-britain-map.cfg

As well as not retaining my favourites & home position my phone also does not retain the POI warning settings?

Any ideas?

It's the great-britain-map.cfg - see if that has the "read-only" flag set.

Yes your right the file was set to read only? It's working correctly. Thanks for the help.

This seems to be a generic problem with Windows Smartphones, possibly linked to the security model. I had the same issue with programmatically generated WAV files. They disappeared from view until i fixed the flag.
