DavidW,

Did what you suggested re. updates, all appeared well until I tried the updates out on a long journey. Unfortuneatley there are no warning sounds when I approach a camera. This has only happened since I updated. What have I done wrong during update?

DavidW,

Were are you? Need your help. Did what you suggest re. update (see previous message). Cameras updated OK, but no sound. Tried copying over all new files including OV2 file, but still no sound.

Can you or anybody else out there help.

I might be able to help, but I haven't seen your previous comments.

Can you confirm:

What version of CheckPOInt you are using (v2 or v3)?
What speed camera database you are trying to use (CheckPOInt's sync databases or Pocketgpsworld database)?

If you go into TomTom, do you see icons for the speed cameras on the map?

If you go into the Overlay Settings within CheckPOInt for one of the overlays you want to be alerted on, what are the settings on each of the pages for that overlay?

" 1- I highlight traffic cameras, which gives me a list of camera types.

2 - I select the camera type i.e. Speed Cameras and select properties.

3 - tick the detect POI,s box.

4 - tick first warning box and select type of voice warning.

5 - tick last warning box and select type of voice warning.

6 - Press OK.

Please be aware that all has been working well including sound until the update."

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Ah - that's the wrong place - that's for the CheckPOInt supplied speed cameras. For the pocketgpsworld files, you need to go to Overlay Settings, then Not Synchronised (or something similar, I'm away from my PDA right now - either way it's the option at the bottom), and then inside there will be the various pocketgpsworld files. Once you select these you can tick to detect and then add the voice warning.
