no, and none to be expected. The next map update will coincide with the new version, probably by CeBit again _________________ Lutz

I'd agree with Lutz - Navigator 3 is very unlikely to get new maps at this stage of its life cycle. If TomTom were going to bring out new maps, I'd expect them to have brought out the update in September or October of last year, when the product was around six months after release.
I, too, am expecting an announcement of the replacement for Navigator 3 in Europe in March or April, quite possibly at CeBIT.

Lutz,
Thanks for your excellent review of TomTom 2004 (TT4).
I note you were able to directly compare TT3 and TT4. Does this mean you were able to get TT3 to work with the TT4 maps?
For me this would be an ideal solution. I've been waiting for new maps or a new version of TT for both UK and Europe. I would prefer to buy up to date Europe maps in March/April, and load them with TT3.
I prefer the functionality of TT3/Checkpoint to TT4 which seems to be rather cut down, compared to what I use. _________________ iPhone 5 with TomTom Western Europe and Australia.

The official title of the application is TomTom Navigator 2004, so let's stick to that.
The maps were quite disappointing - basically the same old 2.24 maps. So really there's no good reason to use them - you may as well stay with 2.24/3.07 _________________ Lutz
