questions about tomtom v3 usa (itinerary mode?)

i've been using tomtom since it cam out in the us. i've grown tired of its strange routes and decided to not even open the 2004 version that i received for upgrade (especially after reading the reviews). after reading about the itinerary mode feature (left out of usa versions) i've though about buying the usa v3 that was offered outside the us. does this version contain the itinerary mode? looks like expansys has it available as a special order. with itineraries i could possibly stay with tomtom. thanks in advance.

Yes, itineries are available with TomTom3. Presumably you have TomTom2?

I'm sure you could buy and install this package but as far as I know the maps are locked to speific versions of TomTom, so you would likely not be able to use your USA maps with it

i realize i can not use the old v2 maps on it but it looks like tomtom released a version 3 with usa maps for sale outside the us. i'm figuring it may be worth buying because i like many of its features but want a little more control of the routing. otherwise i'm probably buying ocn4 after they patch it for the highway numbers. i'm really just after the itinerary mode. i wish i could just patch it into tomtom 2.24 or 2004. for some reason tt thought we weren't worthy.

You'll need to contact them and make double sure it's the correct version.

Also TomTom do sell maps of USA+Canada as a seperate package for TomTom3.
