HP4700/TT3 Can't see map

I'm running TT3.07 on a 4150, no issues so far, but trying to help a friend with a newly acquired 4700 and TT3.07. Instal seems to have gone OK, TT sees satellites, software fires up OK, maps installed on SD card, but the TT software doesn't link up to the map. GPS shows the co-ordinates, but can't see the location on the map or navigator screens. Is there anything basic or is this a rerun of setup required ?

I'm unclear what the problem is - is Navigator complaining that it can't find the maps, or is there nothing where the map should be? If it's the first, reinstall the maps. If it's the second, it could be the memory card you're using in the hx4700 - you could try the memory card from your h4150 in the hx4700.


Another possibility is that you've installed old software on the hx4700 - only Navigator 3.07 and GPS 3.07 are listed as compatible with the Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition software used in the hx4700. A recently bought Navigator 3 pack is likely to include these on an 'update CD' - if not, they can be downloaded from the downloads area of support.tomtom.com.

Navigator 3.07 includes GPS 3.07 - the same is not true of Navigator 3.07T, the Traffic version (if you need that, download and install GPS 3.07 separately).
