I very much doubt that you've broken it!

I don't use an iCN - but is there any kind of reset button? If you're not sure, look at the manual or other documentation. If you find a reset button I'd start out by pressing that to see if it will restart properly.

Hopefully a Navman user will come along to give you a hand soon.

I have never done this, but from the iCN510 user manual:

Reset iCN
Normally you do not need to reset your iCN, however should your iCN not turn on or not respond, you can reset it to solve the problem.
To reset your iCN, either:
a. Press and hold the Home button. The message Reset Device? will display. Tap Yes.
b. Use the stylus to press the Reset button on the top of the iCN.
