Hi,
Would like to start using my toshiba e750 PPC with Pocket streets 2005.
I already have my Garmin GPS12 device and I have seen cables to connect them but I was wondering if it's better to have a new CF GPS for it.
I don't mind the GPS being bulky and think it's more important to have a good reception as I will be using it mainly in the car.
Does a handheld GPS like the Garmin GPS 12 give better coveridge or reception than the newer cf GPS cards?
I hear everybody taking about 4-6 sats and even less indoors but I receive 8-10 indoors...
Hope somebody can help me out so I can get started with this great technology!!!
Thanks from Australia!!! 8)

I'd use your GPS12, it's a good GPS Unit and the cables (try www.pc-mobile.com) are inexpensive. It'll give you a good grounding and if you get hooked you can always upgrade the GPS component at a later date
My first personal GPS was a garmin GPS 8, followed by a GPS 12 which was a superb receiver, So much so I'm tempted to buy another second hand to play with! _________________ Darren Griffin |

I have found een even better solution I think. Have a look at this:
http://www.thesupplynet.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=6885
It says that it's compatible with the GPS 12Xl. will it be compatible with the GPS 12 as well....???
Hope you'll know.
Thanks all info is greatly appriciated!

Yes, the 12XL and 12 shared the same data/power interface. _________________ Darren Griffin |
