I still have some trouble with the mentioned combination and thanks a friend I managed to narrow the cause to the combination of TomTom and the DConnex:
I am unable to confirm in TomTom GPS the 'Bluetooth GPS' port when I have paired the DConnex.
I am able to confirm in TomTom GPS the 'Bluetooth GPS' port when I have paired a Globalsat BT-308 BT GPS (and NOT creating a serial port!).
Only way to get the DConnex working in TomTom is to pair is and create a serial port. In TomTom you have to select COM5.
The configuration on COM5 works with TomTom as long as there is a BT Connection. When there is NO BT connection, the MDAII hangs upon starting TomTom.
With the 'Bluetooth GPS' configuration (=not possible with DConnex) TomTom works even when there is no BT connection!
As I did not find any answers here, on xda-developers.com and with TomTom Support, I guess I hav to live with this situation.
STILL: Any help / sugestions are greatly apppreciated!!!! _________________ eDsuB

Alix,
I tried all combinations.
Issue is that with the DConnex I cannot check the blue box when i select Bluetooth GPS in the lower box.
Selecting NMEA ....Bluetooth or NMEA ....<baudrate> in the upper box makes no difference.
Like I said issue os there only with the DConnex GPS. Not with ie. a Globalsat GPS _________________ eDsuB

havent tried with another pda.
am using version 3.03
So far TomTom Support doenst have a clue
Just the different behaviour between the DConnex and the Globalsat, plus the experiences with non-DConnex GPS's I heard from others on xda-developers.com led to my conclusion it must be the DConnex (might be in combination with the MS Bt Stack of the MDAII). _________________ eDsuB

Update: The issue I have (and not only me) seems to be solved with the (non-official) WM2003 SE ROM upgrades for the XDAII/MDAII. _________________ eDsuB
