Hi i manage to get the traffic program on, after a 4-5 hours configureing with the phone ,boy o boy this was a serious challange,
but I was wondering if any one is using it, I have set it to update every 15 mins, but the G sign on my phone is on at all time which is telling me that it is still connected to the internet,
this is wrong anybody got any ideas here. |

gprs can be a permanent conection to the internet but you will only be charged for any information that it exchanged between the phone and your isp supply ie t moblie when downloading the traffic information _________________ currently using aponia truck navigation on windows phone. Good bye IOS don't let the door hit you on the way out .
Oh the joys of being a courier.

As Alix says, the GPRS connection is live all the time, but TomTom Traffic only updates from the server at the intervals you configure.
Unless things have changed, no UK network charges for GPRS connect time, just data transferred, so this is not a problem.

thanks for that guys I was getting a bit worried here, as on my route 66, the G symbol only flashes when it checks on the traffic then disapears,
on tom tom it stays on permanent,
