Can anybody help me, I have just bought a Tom Tom Mobile Sat Nav system for my Nokia 6600 and all is ok but I cannot get the ov2 files onto my memory card......it is saying "wrong file format".
Can anyone email me an "idiot proof" guide to help me put the speed camera database onto my memory card.
Thanks 8O davebrowne40@yahoo.co.uk |

saw this on an earlier post :
Connect to the phone via bluetooth, open pc suite and make sure you have a connection. Then copy the .OV2 and .BMP files into the map directory of the TomTom phone card. Then highlight the individual files on the card, right mouse click then select properties, then tick the archive box.
I think pc suite comes with the 6600.I don't have bluetooth on a pc (was using a friend's laptop - but don't know how he'll be about me loading software onto it!)
If you have any success let me know please.

Mmmmmmmmmmm, think I am going to need more than "idiot proof" instructions here...sorry!! First of all, when I connect my bluetooth and then click on pc suite, the pcsuite is "expecting" me to connect via usb data cable connection and because I don't have a usb dc connection it says "not connected" Now, saying I over come that problem...what ov2 and bmp files do I copy over to my map directory? All of them (apart from continental) that I download from the gps pocket world site?
Then!! Sorry again...how the blazes do I get into the map directory of my Tom Tom phone card?? Damn these infernal things!!

get a mmc card reader
put the mmc card into the card reader open the map folder and copy and paste the files into the folder on the mmc card
thats the best way to do it |
