I think some owners are getting poor charge retention. I have noticed that sometimes when you switch off , the screen still shows a faint image . It looks as if only the back light is turned off, tapping the screen will put you back into normal operation. To tun off fully you need to give the push button a quick push-- a "slow" push gives you the ghost screen. No, I didn't believe it at first but it has been reported on German forums from day one .

Make sure that the auto switch-off is enabled in settings-power-advanced, and soft reset if necessary. My "switch off after 3 minutes" box was ticked but the Medion stayed turned on in faint screen mode, and the battery was slowly running down.

i had a medion for less than a week from Aldi, the battery would charge to full in the evening come the morning it would be totally flat,or it would fully charge in the car after a couple of minutes it would lose the charge. took it back but unfortunatley they did not have any in stock so i had to have a refund.
