Question
Hi all

I have the Hx4700 and am contemplating getting Tom Tom GB & US and wondered what is the best (most reliable) and easy to use system, Bluetooth or a wired system.

It seems from some of the posts I have read that there are some problems with the bluetooth packages. Are they as good as wired versions?

You experiences & advise gratefully recieved.

I thought the hx4700 doesn't have a serial port any more? So wired solutions wouldn't work anyhow.

The hx4700 does have a serial port - I'm using mine with my iPAQ Folding Keyboard. Whilst some of the h1900 series don't have a serial port, I think all the latest iPAQs have a serial port.

In that case a serial receiver is more reliable, but a BT receiver is more flexible, especially when you change cars often or want to use the system for more than just car navigation . For example to walk around in american cities 8O
