Hi - can anyone comment on AGPS and how well itn would work in car ?

AGPS is just a fancy name for the return channel - some kind of internet connection, either via the phone (GSM or CDMA dialup) or via a packet service like GPRS, 1x, or 3G. The return channel is needed to compliment the GPS reception with the location propagation to some central service that can then recommend LBS.

You don't actually need GPS for that - a standard GSM cell is good enough to identify some of the LBS, too. ("Nearest Restaurant" etc), but of course with GPS this gets much more accurate (and more troublesome from a privacy point of view).

The current implementations of TomTom Traffic and similiar tools are basically already some form of AGPS, so Moto is a bit late in the game.
