Hi,
Forgive another similar post, but i'm a serious newbie!
I have Medion 2004 on this MD41800, and was just wondering if there was a way to add POI's to the already existing ones, without having to pay for an additional piece of software such as POI WARNER.
I get the impression that the current Petrol stations, etc use POI's from somewhere within the PDA not the software? , and there would be a way of importing more to do the same function?
Apologies if this is really simple, or has been covered before, but i am completely lost.

Hi Jason,
to the forum.
Some SatNav packages (e.g. TomTom Navigator) have a number of add-ons available for POI detection, some of which are free (e.g. CheckPOInt 2.0.2) whilst others are not (e.g. GPSAssist).
I’m afraid that I don’t know the Medion package, so it may be the case that you have limited choice and that POI Warner is the only POI Detector that you can use. For what it’s worth – I understand that POI Warner is a good add-on that does the job.
The included POIs are part of the map data.
I hope that somebody with a similar set-up to you will be able to advise.
