TomTom MOBILE sound problem

I received my TomTom MOBILE today which I was able to set up without problems and which worked flawlessly with my Nokia 6600.

However, after I'd installed some POI databases (Safety Camera Files) from Pocket GPS World which I enabled with alert sounds, I experienced incomplete aural navigation instructions when out on the road. It seemed as if each instruction was initiated 2 or 3 times almost simultaneously resulting in a corrupted garbled instruction.

I tried disabling the sounds for each of the POI groups until I was left with just audio alerts for Petrol Stations; the result was just the same. I used the 'Hide POI' option which cured the problem immediately.

The POI .ov2 and .bmp files were loaded into the Great_Britain Map folder as per the instructions I'd recieved and the POI were displayed accurately on the map but the only problem experienced was that which I've described above plus the fact that the aural POI warnings also suffered the same problem.

I would appreciate some assistance with this.
