2210 keeps switching off

Hi, I have a 2210 with navman st pro and a Royaltek bt 3000, 2 questions for you if you dont mind.
1/ Ever since I bought the package back in July the 2210 would constantly drop the bt to the Royaltek( 3-4 times a day) is this how bt receivers are or should I buy a wired one for better reliability? I only bought the Royaltek because it offered the option of datalog playback
2/ Since about the beginning of September the 2210 has started to turn itself off ( all boxes are unchecked in the power management ) it makes no difference if its on battery or in the cradle being charged, it also can vary between staying on for 2 secs!! or upto 2 hours, I gave up using it after a couple of weeks( much too dangerous trying to do soft resets while driving ).
I have just done a hard reset and downloaded any/all updates on the HP site and its still the same, I will contact where I purchased it from to see what they recommend but would like to know if this is a common problem or just if anyone has heard of anything like it.

It really sounds like your device has a mechanical problem, a loose contact or so. Have it repaired by HP. You still under warranty?
